Our Story

Scout's Honor Paper is the stationery + design studio of Annemarie Buckley. Originally founded in Burlington, Vermont, SHP recently relocated to Annemarie's hometown of Geneva, New York — in the heart of the Finger Lakes. Inspired by time-honored experiences yet working with bold colors and clean shapes, we aim to make the nostalgic feel new. Scout's Honor Paper combines our love for classic Americana with a modern desire to keep things simple: our cards are versatile so you decide just how to use them.

Our Products

We believe in three things:

Everyday adventures.

Accessible art.

Easy communication.

Our cards are flat and measure 4x6 inches – the most flexible format. Tuck them into envelopes for longer correspondence, mail them as postcards, or hang them in ready-made frames.

Our cards are sold in our online shop and in select stores throughout the country and abroad. Please check our stockists to see if there is a shop near you.

Our Process

We take great pride in our process. All designs start with a pen and paper, ensuring that hand-lettering and illustration are at the heart of every piece. Our work is printed offset — an incredibly high quality process that offers rich, saturated color and sharp, clean detail. We believe it's the perfect complement to our style of illustration and typography. We have selected a beautiful, thick, 130 lb FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified paper — making each card feel luxurious and highly durable at the same time.

We are dedicated to printing in the USA and to working as locally as possible. Currently, our cards are printed in Vermont, close to our original headquarters. Our envelopes are made in Massachusetts. All products then come back to our Geneva, NY studio, where they undergo meticulous quality control and are packaged up by hand. We look forward to discovering vendors and building local partnerships near our new home, too.
